BioTE Hormone Replacement

Hormone imbalance is a common occurrence that starts in our early twenties and worsens as we age.

Our hormone levels are based on a lot of things like what we eat, how much we exercise, how much we weigh, and our stress levels.

The effects of a hormone imbalance can have profound physical, emotional, and mental repercussions. Unbalanced hormones can damage the brain, breasts, heart, and bones, leaving our bodies susceptible to disease.

We offer services that help our patients feel more like themselves. One of the ways we accomplish this is by using BioTE® Medical Hormone Pellet Therapy for patients suffering from a hormonal imbalance.

If you think your hormones may be imbalanced, read on to learn more about common symptoms, the benefits of hormone therapy, and how BioTE® Medical can help.

What is BioTE® Medical Hormone Pellet Therapy?

Pellet therapy restores normal hormone levels using plant-based hormones. It is suitable for men or women and works by planting tiny pellets (smaller than a grain of rice) in the fatty tissues beneath the skin. As the pellets break down, they release hormones at the same level a balanced body would.

Why Pellets?

Unlike hormone creams, pills, patches, or shots, the pellets are pure hormones. They aren’t metabolized or turned into byproducts as they travel through the body.

Having hormone pellets placed beneath the skin allows your body to absorb them through the bloodstream and use them as needed. One dose can provide enough hormones for your body for five months, providing a constant supply synthetic hormones cannot match.

Hormone Pellets vs. Other Methods

Because the ingredients used in the pellets are all-natural, they have several advantages over synthetic hormone therapy. The biggest advantage is that hormone pellets are made of plant-based, natural substances.

Their makeup allows the body to metabolize the hormones as if they were its own producing minimal side effects. These side effects generally lessen over time and can include:

  • Water retention
  • Acne/oily skin
  • Tender breasts
  • Unwanted hair growth/loss
  • Headaches
  • Cramps, bloating, and indigestion

Synthetic hormones on the other hand, cause side effects that can be more disruptive to the patient’s life, such as:

  • Mood swings
  • Energy fluctuations
  • Blood clots
  • High blood pressure
  • Cancer
  • Heart disease
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke

Aside from less side effects, hormone pellets provide consistent results, increase health benefits, and only require three to four doses per year.

Synthetic hormones on the other hand, have inconsistent results, dangerous side effects, and require weekly or even daily treatments. In short, hormone pellets are safer, easier to take, and more efficient at correcting hormone imbalances.

Is Hormone Pellet Therapy Right for You?

A hormone imbalance is not rare. In fact, people over age 30 produce 3-10 percent less hormones every year. Hormone pellet therapy may help if you’ve experienced any of the following symptoms:

  • Memory problems
  • Fatigue
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Low sex drive
  • Weight gain
  • Urination problems
  • Digestion problems
  • Depression/anxiety
  • Headaches
  • Changes in breast tissue
  • Irritability

Hormone pellet therapy can correct these issues and improve your life by helping you regain energy, increase mental clarity, build muscle strength, and feel more like your old self.
