Dr. Rachel J. Macias, M.D. has joined The Centre, P.C. practice and surgical team in September of 2021.
Dr. Macias is a northern Indiana native and graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. The majority of her medical degree on the University of Notre Dame campus; however, she also was at IUSB, and IU Indianapolis, graduating in 2015.
In recognition of her academic and clinical excellence, she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Plastic Surgery Training and Experience
Dr. Macias completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency training at Spectrum Health/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is currently Board-Eligible with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Macias is a candidate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In addition to her comprehensive surgical training, she was also selected to present her surgical research at several regional and national plastic and reconstructive surgery conferences.
Dr. Macias enjoys the complexity of surgical procedures and intricate anatomy plastic and reconstructive surgery entails. She has a special interest in breast surgery, body contouring and cancer reconstruction.
When not in the office, Dr. Macias loves spending time with her family. She enjoys reading, running long distances, and traveling to new places.
