BOTOX, Dysport and Xeomin Injectables

BOTOX injections are a prescription medicine derived from a powerful natural protein. They are designed to block muscle movement at the injection site for 3 to 4 months.
Although botulinum toxins do not erase etched-in lines, over time they can prevent the line from deepening. When injected, the substance works to “weaken” the muscles linked to common facial expressions, giving you a softer, younger and more radiant look.
At our Mishawaka clinic, BOTOX injections are especially effective at temporarily improving the look of stubborn forehead furrows, wrinkles between the eyes, and “crow’s feet” areas around the upper third of the face. These wrinkle smoothing treatments have helped clients in Elkhart, South Bend, and areas across Indiana.
BOTOX also works well when used in conjunction with dermal fillers, such as Restylane®, Perlane®, JUVÉDERM® XC and Radiesse®, all of which help smooth lines and folds by adding volume beneath the skin’s surface.
Xeomin
Xeomin®, BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® are injections that temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your face.

Xeomin®, BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® are made of purified protein that is safe and FDA approved. Injections of appropriate doses, of Xeomin®, BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport® weaken muscles (which contract with expression creating wrinkles and creases) to decrease wrinkles and reduce and eliminate lines.
Expressions are still possible! Results take up to 10 days to occur and last 4 months on average. The key is to be treated every 4 months so wrinkles occur less because of decreased muscle movement. In the long run, this will cost less and provide the best results.
Dysport
It is made from the same active ingredient as BOTOX® Cosmetic, botulinum toxin type A. It works by relaxing the facial muscles, thereby reducing and smoothing away frown-lines and wrinkles.
It also works well with dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Perlane®, and Radiesse®, which erase lines and folds by adding volume beneath the skin’s surface. Initial reports suggest that Dysport® may act quicker than BOTOX® Cosmetic. BOTOX® takes three to five days to work, while Dysport seems to work within one to two days.
