Kellee Hedges Earns Plastic Surgery Certification
The Centre, P.C. announced that Kellee Hedges, FNP-BC, recently earned her CPSN, an elite certification for plastic surgery nurses. As one of only two nurse practitioners in Indiana with this designation, this certification allows Hedges to provide a higher level of post-operative patient care.
To be eligible to become a Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse, a candidate must have a minimum of two years of plastic surgical nursing experience, have at least 1,000 practice hours in plastic surgical nursing and pass a rigorous certification exam.
“We’re extremely pleased to announce Kellee’s certification,” said Dr. Ronald Downs, founder and president of The Centre, P.C. “Patient safety is critical to our practice. Just as my certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is important to our patients, having a CPSN on staff is an equal indicator of our commitment to patient care.”
Hedges earned her master’s degree, is a nurse practitioner and has been at The Centre, P.C. for three years.
The Centre, P.C. is a comprehensive plastic surgery practice that offers surgical and non-surgical solutions and delivers professional care to patients throughout northern Indiana and southern Michigan.
