Dr. Ronald Downs Expands His Practice to Goshen
Area plastic surgeon, Dr. Ronald K. Downs, F.A.C.S., announced that he will begin seeing patients at IU Health Goshen The Retreat Women’s Health Center starting Monday, March 16; focusing on breast reconstruction and hand surgery.
Dr. Downs, president and founder of The Center, P.C., completed his plastic surgery training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and has practiced in the Mishawaka and Elkhart area since 1992. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
“Dr. Downs is a talented plastic surgeon, who will add another dimension to the highly successful practice here at The Retreat” stated Laura L. Morris, MD, MBA, FACS, medical director, IU Health Goshen The Retreat Women’s Health Center. “Dr. Downs’ skills and qualifications will help us bring our already established practice to a whole new level in patient care quality and satisfaction,” says Dr. Morris. “We have been growing steadily, and the addition of another highly qualified plastic surgeon to the Goshen area is extremely beneficial—especially to breast cancer patients looking for reconstruction surgery.”

Active in the local, state and national medical communities, Dr. Downs is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Indiana State Medical Association, Ohio Valley Plastic Surgery Society and Rush Surgical Society and is active in breast reconstruction research.
