Control Your Comfort with New Pain Management System
At The Centre, P.C. we are committed to making sure our patients feel comfortable and relaxed at all times, regardless of what procedure they’re having. We are proud to now offer Pro-Nox as a pain management option for some of our surgical and non-surgical services.
Our Pro-Nox delivery system uses a fixed mixture of 50% Nitrous Oxide (commonly known as “laughing gas”) and 50% Oxygen to deliver medical gases on-demand as you inhale. One of the key benefits of Pro-Nox is that you’re able to control your own level of comfort without the need for general anesthesia. Pro-Nox does not alter your motor skills or mental state, and can be used in addition to local anesthetic.
Within just a few breaths, you’ll feel the Pro-Nox begin to increase your comfort, relieve pain, and start to calm your anxiety. Pro-Nox is a fast-acting mild sedative that will not put you to sleep. As you near the end of your treatment, breathing normally without the mouthpiece will expel the Nitrous Oxide from your body within a few minutes so that you are able to drive yourself home.
