Goshen Health Expands Patient Care Capabilities with The Centre, P.C. Affiliation
GOSHEN, Ind. – Patients faced with changes to their physical appearance caused by disease or medical treatment now have more options for care at Goshen Health, thanks to an affiliation between the Goshen Center for Cancer Care and the plastic surgeons at The Centre, P.C., in Mishawaka, Ind.
“This partnership expands our capabilities to perform additional complex cancer surgeries here in Goshen,” said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer.
Goshen Center for Cancer Care specialists work closely with the plastic surgery team at The Centre, P.C. to coordinate services needed to repair, restore or reconstruct physical changes that affect how patients with cancer function and feel about themselves. Among the oncological procedures performed at Goshen Hospital will be breast reconstruction for women who have surgery as part of their breast cancer treatment.

Patrick Viscardi, MD, completed fellowship training in hand surgery at Christine M. Kleinert Institute of Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, KY. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Viscardi also is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Rachel Macias, MD, specializes in all aspects of cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery. She is board eligible in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Macias is recognized regionally and nationally for her surgical research and regularly presents at plastic and reconstructive surgery conferences.
